His trip most probably highlighted by a visit to the Super Bowl- American Football spectacular in Phoenix, Arizona, IOC President Thomas Bach submits to a strenuous program of meetings during his forthcoming visit to the United States, including meetings with former U.S. President Bill Clinton. With NBC broadcasting the Sunday Super Bowl, he will of course be meeting senior executives from NBC and also a number of our U.S TOP partners during his short stay in Phoenix.

On Monday (2nd February) Bach will be going to Vail, Colorado, for the FIS World Ski Championships. He’ll attend the opening ceremony and an official dinner with the International Ski Federation (FIS), and the next day he will stay in Vail/Beaver Creek for the Women’s Super G. During this part of the trip he’ll be accompanied by a number of IOC members as well as by Larry Probst and Scott Blackmun, President and the CEO respectively of U.S. Olympic Committee.

Following the conclusion of the Women’s Super G the IOC President will head for Colorado Springs to the home of the U.S. Olympic Committee, where he’ll visit the USOC Training Centre and meet athletes before a USOC reception in the evening with staff and US Federation heads. During his time in Colorado Springs it is expected that he will meet the leaders of Boston’s Olympic Games bid for 2024. During the trip Thomas Bach will also meet with the Founder of the Clinton Foundation, former U.S. President Bill Clinton and with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, an IOC Honour Member.
