Holy Cross Athletics Presents Updated Concussion Management Policy

The Holy Cross department of athletics, in conjunction with the sports medicine department, has announced its updated concussion management policy for the 2014-2015 school year. This protocol is focused on education, diagnosis, treatment, recovery, return to active participation and return to classroom activities, with the health and welfare of student-athletes being paramount. The Holy Cross policy is part of the Patriot League’s overall concussion management guidelines.

Holy Cross recognizes that concussions are serious injuries that require comprehensive management plans focused on education, identification and treatment. The Holy Cross concussion management policy seeks to protect and promote the health and safety of all student-athletes. As always, the Holy Cross sports medicine department continues to strive to educate its student-athletes, coaches and staff, and adapt to the most current guidelines set forth by the NCAA.
