0

Senior IOC Member Richard “Dick” Pound, a former Vice President and for some time even rated a favorite to succeed Juan Antonio Samaranch as President of the IOC, has finally returned to the upper ranks of the Olympic Movement. IOC President Thomas Bach named him the Chairman of the Board of Olympic Broadcasting Services SA (OBS). With Manolo Romero acting as the board’s Vice-Chair, other members include Juan Antonio Samaranch jun., Gerardo Werthein, Christophe De Kepper, Gilbert Felli, Timo Lumme and Lana Haddad as well as the apparently indispensable François Carrard, the former IOC General Director.

At the same time, IOC Vice-President Zaiqing Yu, IOC Executive Board member Ugur Erdener, and IOC honorary member Kipchoge Keino were appointed as members of the Olympic Museum Foundation Board.
