South Korea’s Sung Hyun Park and Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn are the two favorites for the Evian Championship, the final women’s major of the year.
The fifth major on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour is set to take place at the Evian Resort Golf Club.
Both Park and Jutanugarn have enjoyed a victory apiece at a major this year.
Park emerged as the winner of the Women’s PGA Championships, one year on from her maiden success at the US Women’s Open.
Jutanugarn clinched the US Women’s Open title this year.
The results have helped Park and Jutanugarn occupy the top two places in the world rankings.
Both players will hope to celebrate another success when competition comes to a close on Sunday (September 16).
Sweden’s Pernilla Lindberg and England’s Georgia Hall have also won majors this year and will hope to add to their tallies.
Defending champion Anna Nordqvist of Sweden will hope to successfully retain her title.
Former winners Hyo Joo Kim of South Korea and New Zealand’s Lydia Ko could mount a challenge for the title.
