According to what is labelled the richest deal in NFL history, the Detroit Lions, according to The Associated Press, will pay quarterback Matthew Stafford $135 million to keep him under contract through the 2022 season.
The 29-year-old was entering the last year of his $53 million, three-year deal. Stafford got more than the $125 million, five-year contract the Oakland Raiders gave Derek Carr this summer.
