Taipei 2017 claims tickets for the Opening Ceremony of the Summer Universiade have been sold out.
A total of 12,000 tickets were made available by organizers for the Ceremony due to be held at Taipei Stadium.
Taipei 2017 marketing official Lee Chang-hui told Focus Taiwan that all tickets have now been sold for the spectacle, scheduled to take place on August 19.
Prices for tickets ranged from between $26 to $155 for the Ceremony.
Focus Taiwan have revealed that local dancer PeiJu Chien-Pott will be among the performers, along with Cirque du Soleil dancer Billy Chang and singer Leehom Wang.
Around 17 percent of tickets have reportedly been sold for the Closing Ceremony on August 30.
It is promised a promotional campaign is set to take place in a bid to boost ticket sales for the Closing Ceremony.
Aquatics, athletics, archery, badminton, baseball, basketball and billiards are among the events that will take place at the Universiade.
Fencing, football, gymnastics, golf, judo, roller skating, table tennis and taekwondo will also be held, along with tennis, volleyball, weightlifting and wushu.
Events are scheduled to held in venues in Taipei, Keelung, New Taipei, Taoyuan and Hsinchu.
Around 10,000 athletes from 150 countries are expected to take part at the multi-sport university competition.
