International Sports Multimedia (ISM) has issued a sub-licence for an authentic single sport diving mobile game to the company Flashman Games LLC.
Flashman Games were previously granted a license to develop and publish an official mobile game for the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games.
They will be hoping to build on the success of their game “Ski Slopestyle Challenge”, which allowed the public to compete for their country, win medals and challenge their friends from around the world.
The company claimed the game allowed players to feel though they were catching the Olympic spirit on their mobile devices.
Flashman Games have now been granted rights by ISM to create an official game for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, which will be released worldwide.
The game, which will be developed through the independent San Francisco-based video game publisher who were formed in 2006, is set to be available on all major mobile platforms including Android, iOS, and Kindle.
With the company also developing and publishing games across all leading platforms, including consoles and PC, they are promising that players will be able to expect excellent gameplay and visuals on the mobile diving game.
Flashman Games were granted the right to develop and publish the game by ISM, the exclusive worldwide licensee of the International Olympic Committee for Interactive Entertainment Software.
As a result, ISM can publish a wide range of software titles that include official video games, social network games, multisport games on mobile devices and tablets, character-based multisport games and browser-based multisport minigames.
ISM, who hold licence through 2020, worked with the companies Sega and Nintendo to produce the “Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games” game.
The companies have already been working on the release of the “Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games ARCADE EDITION” game.
