In the men’s 100m final a national record by Oman’s Barakat Al-Harthi of 10.16 was enough for victory in front of  Iran’s Reza Ghasemi and Moroccan Aziz Ouhadi.

Algeria’s All-Africa Games champion Abdelmalik Lahoulou won the 400m hurdles in 49.43, ahead of Russian Timofey Chalyy and Kenyan Boniface Mucheru, while Russia picked up two gold medals with Pavel Shalin winning the long jump in 7.66m and Kiril Ikonnikov claiming hammer honours with a throw of 75.88m.
